Piriform heeft versie 1.53 van Recuva uitgebracht. De naam van het programma is een alternatieve spelling voor het Engelse woord 'recover' en dat is precies wat het programma doet. Het probeert verwijderde bestanden van bijvoorbeeld de harde schijf, de geheugenkaart van een digitale camera of een mp3-speler terug te halen. Recuva is gratis voor zowel privé- als zakelijk gebruik, en is geschikt voor Windows 2000 en hoger. Via een wizard kan instructie worden gegeven om naar specifieke typen bestanden en op specifieke locaties te zoeken.
