Ferry Maat’s Soul Show Top 100 (5CD)




De Soulshow. Ferry Maat begon dit legendarische radio programma in 1972 op de zeezender Radio Noordzee Internationaal. Het muziekprogramma draaide soulmuziek die destijds alleen in de discotheken gedraaid werd. Door dit programma werd de voornamenlijk Amerikaanse soul-, disco- en funkmuziek ook een begrip in Nederland. Presentator Ferry Maat inspireerde vele disc-jockey's die nu wereldberoemd zijn. Hij ontving verschillende prijzen zoals de Gouden Harp in februari 2006, de Marconi Award in augustus 2007 en op 17 april 2008 werd hij geridderd in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau.
Het programma stopte op 13 december 2008 na 36 jaar. Hierna kreeg het programma toch nog een vervolg op de landelijke FM zender Arrow Jazz FM die later Sublime FM ging heten. In 2012 vierden we het 40 jarig bestaan van de Soulshow met o.a. een feest in discotheek "The Spot" in Bussum. Op 29 augustus 2013 werd op Sublime FM de laatste Soulshow uitgezonden.
Heden ten dage leeft de Soulshow voort op Internet als Soulshow Radio.
