Houdini and Doyle 'is like an Edwardian X-Files'

In the new 10-parter, Stephen Mangan plays Sherlock Holmes creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with US actor Michael Weston as escapologist Harry Houdini. 
They team up with Scotland Yard’s first woman copper, Constable Adelaide Stratton (Rebecca Liddiard), to solve supernatural crimes.
In the spooky yet funny opening show, they investigate the murder of a nun in one of the notorious Magdalene laundries, where so-called fallen women worked.
A witness claims the killer is a young woman who was tormented by the nun. The only problem? The suspect died six months ago...
