The real Peak practice. S01e02. Documentaire over een huisartsenpraktijk in de UK.
A year in the life of a GP surgery in Derbyshire's Peak Park. Baslow Health Centre looks after one of England's oldest patient populations. Doctors have never been busier. What can a small rural practice teach us about some of the challenges facing every practice in the country?
A DERBYSHIRE health centre is set to be the star of a new BBC TV show which will be broadcast later this month.
Cameras from BBC East Midlands have spent a year following the doctors, nurses and patients at Baslow Health Centre, near Chatsworth in Derbyshire.
Narrated by “local” Dominic West (The Wire) who is from the Derbyshire village of Grindleford, The Real Peak Practice aims to offer a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse of the issues that doctors, nurses and elderly patients face every day.
A spokeswoman for the show said: "The Peak Park has one of the oldest patient populations in the country, with almost one in three of the patients at Baslow aged over 65.
