Een aan lager wal geraakte acteur die ooit een iconische
superheld speelde, probeert zijn carrière weer nieuw leven in te
blazen met behulp van een Broadway-toneelstuk,
gebaseerd op een verhaal van Raymond Carver. Zijn plan
komt echter in gevaar door het enorme ego van zijn hoofdrolspeler.
Daarnaast heeft hij ook nog eens zorgen binnen de familie,
wat het geheel er niet veel makkelijker op maakt.
