It's not an easy watch by any means, but if there is one drama you should be tuning in to this year, then it is The C-Word.
The important telling of a tragic true life story sees acclaimed actress Sheridan Smith take on the role of her own friend, Lisa Lynch. Lisa fought an extraordinarily brave battle with cancer, tackling her fears with words by running a blog throughout her ordeal.
The blog, named Alright Tit, was so popular that it spawned a book, also named The C Word, which has inspired the drama.
Whilst they never met in person, Sheridan and Lisa became close friends on Twitter and Lisa personally selected Sheridan to play her in the drama.
